Kris is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Coaching. With a focus in athletics, health and personal training, Kris has gained extensive knowledge to help with assisting athletes and health conscious clients to meet their needs.
"As for my massage technique, you may find it to be more deep tissue. So I would not consider it a "relaxing" massage to put you to sleep."
Kris' massage certifications and training includes Sports Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release techniques and more. His training started at the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in Colleyville, TX.
Kris continues his practice with chiropractic clinics, yoga studios, resorts and day spas. He strives to find new and exciting techniques and understanding of anything related in the health and fitness field.
Kris' sports/deep tissue massage was more than fantastic. He hit every spot that needed to be worked on. Although I'm a yoga teacher, I'm also an olympic weightlifter and things tend to get tight. I don't have the tightest shoulders in the world, but they're definitely not loosey-goosey.
My chest was tight and Kris worked to get those loosened up. I expressed to him my tight hip flexor and hamstring and he took the time to show me some stretches specifically for the both of them. Also, as an olympic lifter, my forearms are CONSTANTLY tight and again, Kris showed me a few exercises to loosen that tightness/tension in my forearms and to build a stronger grip.
He always reassured me that if anything ever got too uncomfortable/painful to let him know which I really appreciated. He told me that I'd probably be sore the day after or the day after that...and I was. But in a good way. I definitely recommend Kris for a (sports/deep tissue) massage. I felt and still feel good.
